Job Summary:
  As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer at Motorola Solutions, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure solutions. With a strong focus on collaboration and innovation, you will work closely with geographically dispersed stakeholders to translate business requirements into optimized infrastructure technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  
  • • Enhance engineering practices and contribute to business objectives
      
  • Collaborate with geographically dispersed stakeholders to translate business requirements into optimized infrastructure technology solutions
      
  • Define and migrate legacy cloud resources into Docker and Infrastructure As Code solutions
      
  • Troubleshoot networking-related issues within our cloud and supported platforms
      
  • Participate in the full software deployment life-cycle, from planning to maintenance
      
  • Design and support large scale SaaS solutions (employing both server-less, and managed environments) within Amazon Web Services through architecture/infrastructure guidance and troubleshooting
      
  • CICD pipeline management using tools like source control, automated build/test, and code quality scanning
      
  • Oversee multiple environments - spanning databases / other storage solutions, operating systems, DNS, and load balancers
      
  • Develop effective partnerships and interact with international stakeholders
      
  • Experience with monitoring tools
      
  • Experience with GitHub
      
  • Robust communication skills targeting both technical and non-technical audiences
      
  • Propose and create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers and development teams
      
  • Detail-oriented individual with a drive to continuous improvement, which includes high-level research/experimentation
      
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently, whilst communicating any obstacles to meeting deadlines
      
  • Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company's disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
      
  • Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging said systems
      
  • Rotating on call/occasional support outside of standard business hours to complete system upgrades/deployments, as well as provide support in case of emergencies (e.g. outages)

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (or related field) with 6+ years of combined experience in Platform Engineering, Network Engineering, Cloud Engineering, or Security Engineering preferred
  • Kubernetes cluster design and management
  • Experience with networking and PKI
  • Relevant AWS certifications are plus
  • Ability to develop quality scalable, tested, and reliable applications using industry best practices
  • Hands-on experience (5+ years) with containerization and orchestration technologies like ECS, EKS, and Kubernetes
  • Proficiency in interpreted and scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash)
  • Expertise in networking using public key infrastructure & VPN technologies, particularly adept in OpenVPN, Routes & IPsec Tunnels
  • Familiarity with security best practices including encryption, certificates and key management
  • Practical knowledge of databases and other storage solutions (MySQL, Redis, DynamoDB, EBS, EFS, S3)
  • Experience with Cloud Computing platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Hands-on with infrastructure automation and container frameworks (Docker, Puppet, Terraform)
  • Hands-on experience (7+ years ) in a systems administration role including experience with Unix/Linux administration
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
