This position provides direct and indirect resident patient care activities under the supervision of a licensed nurse. Responsibilities include assisting residents with daily living tasks, providing personal care, and maintaining a safe environment.
Essential Tasks and Responsibilities- Makes regular rounds to assess resident needs and reports pertinent information as necessary.
- Provides bathing, shampooing, nail care, and mouth care services as directed by the patient's plan of care.
- Assists residents with positioning, mobility, and comfort needs, while utilizing proper body mechanics.
- Ensures resident equipment is accessible and stores supplies in compliance with policies.
- Reports all complaints and grievances made by patients or family members to the charge nurse or supervisor.
- Certified Nursing Assistant licensure in Georgia.
- One year of nursing assistant-related experience preferred.
- Basic nursing assistant skills, mathematical abilities, and knowledge of emergency procedures required.
- Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Frequent kneeling, stooping, bending, and standing/walking.
- Occasional pushing/pulling and intensity of work.
Northeast Georgia Health System offers competitive salaries and benefits packages for eligible employees. This position requires reading, writing, reasoning, talking, and keyboarding skills.
