Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner - Kingston Location

Salary Range: $114,000 - $162,000

This role is situated within the Division of Vascular Surgery in Kingston. The Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed professional expected to operate in an expanded capacity. The PA's duties encompass evaluating and managing patients, which includes ordering diagnostic tests, making referrals, and implementing and assessing comprehensive care plans. This position emphasizes providing healthcare that is sensitive to the needs of the patient population, which includes assessment, diagnosis, prescribing medications, and making referrals as necessary. The PA enhances the physician's capacity to deliver medical services, gather and document patient data, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, arrange laboratory studies, and offer direct patient care services. The Advanced Practitioner will also play a vital role in ongoing care following various treatments, including wound management, minimally invasive techniques, endovascular therapies, and open surgical arterial reconstructions. Key Responsibilities:

  • This position operates on a Monday-to-Friday schedule, ensuring a balanced work-life dynamic with no on-call responsibilities, evening, or weekend shifts.
  • Responsibilities include delivering preoperative education and ensuring comprehensive postoperative care.
  • Conduct annual evaluations of established patients, utilizing ultrasound and cross-sectional imaging to provide outstanding follow-up care in an outpatient environment.
  • Provide inpatient consultations as required.

Qualifications:

  • Current NYS licensure.
  • DEA certification.
  • ACLS/BLS certification.
  • A minimum of one year of experience in Vascular Surgery/OR, with proficiency in EVH/ERAH preferred.
  • Graduation from an accredited PA or NP program.
  • Board Certification.
