Senior Analytical Chemist (Chromatography)
At FutureFuel Chemical Company, we are seeking a skilled professional to become an integral part of our Chemical Technology Team. In this pivotal position, you will contribute significantly to the provision of analytical services that underpin chemical development initiatives, enhance manufacturing processes, and assist in troubleshooting production challenges. Your responsibilities will include the formulation of novel analytical techniques, refinement of existing methodologies, ensuring the precision of instruments and methods, and fostering effective communication across diverse teams.

Qualifications
  • PhD in Analytical Chemistry with a focus on separation techniques
  • A minimum of five years of relevant industry experience in the development of GC-MS, LC-MS, and various chromatographic techniques
  • At least one year of experience in cGMP or 17025-accredited laboratory settings
  • Proficient in modifying literature methodologies for analytical applications
  • Skilled in the interpretation of analytical results
  • Experience in a leadership role within a team
  • Self-motivated and driven individual
  • Preferred experience in microscopy and grant writing
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop innovative analytical methodologies
  • Design and modify analytical techniques
  • Ensure the accuracy and reproducibility of testing methods
  • Calibrate and maintain analytical instruments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create essential analytical methods
  • Manage projects from initial concept through to commercialization
  • Provide technical support to Manufacturing, Business Development, Sales, and clients
  • Document findings through internal reports and external publications
  • Regularly communicate project updates to management
  • Advocate for new capabilities and instrumentation to management
