Server Assistant

We are Art & Jake's Sports Bar, a high-volume sports bar and grill that has been a neighborhood favorite for families and individuals to celebrate special occasions, catch the big game, or just enjoy lunch or dinner.

We have over 100 TVs showing all sporting events, making our bar an exciting place to be. We provide a fast-paced environment for our staff and offer the tools necessary for success. Our commitment to using only the best ingredients ensures that every meal is truly remarkable.

The Food Runner, also known as the Server Assistant, plays a crucial role in delivering food orders from the kitchen to customer tables rapidly and accurately. This position maintains the cleanliness of the expo line, organizes order tickets, and communicates effectively with the back-of-house team. The successful candidate will also assist in expediting carryout orders.

• Maintain a working knowledge of all food menus, including carryout and catering options.
• Ensure guests have everything they need on their tables after food delivery.
• Provide proper silverware, napkins, and serving dishes when delivering food.
• Keep the kitchen station clean and organized.
• Polish and stock utensils and steak knives.
• Assist servers, bartenders, and managers with carrying plates.
• Communicate effectively and courteously with guests and coworkers.
• Communicate food orders to chefs, prioritizing special requests and food allergies.
• Remain calm and composed under stressful conditions.
• Promote teamwork by assisting colleagues.

• Previous restaurant experience preferred.
• Able to stand, walk, and carry food trays for extended periods.
• Effective listening and responding skills for customer needs.
• Courteous, friendly, and professional demeanor required.
• Ability to multitask efficiently.

We offer a competitive salary range of $18-$22 per hour, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as same/next-day pay availability.
