Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our team at Because We Care II, Inc. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional mental health services to individuals in need.

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric or mental health services to individuals with a psychiatric diagnosis
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans
  • Conduct assessments, including functional assessments, to inform service planning
  • Develop and implement treatment modalities and intervention techniques, such as behavior management and crisis intervention
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and local ordinances
Requirements
  • Must be a licensed physician, licensed clinical psychologist, licensed professional counselor, licensed clinical social worker, licensed marriage and family therapist, or a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist
  • Must have training and experience in providing psychiatric or mental health services to individuals with a psychiatric diagnosis
  • Must have a valid driver's license and proof of valid automobile insurance
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a criminal background check free of convictions for abuse, drug-related charges, or felony
Skills and Knowledge
  • Services, systems, and programs available in the community, including primary health care, support services, and mental health treatment programs
  • The nature of serious mental illness, intellectual disability, and substance abuse, including clinical and developmental issues
  • Different types of assessments, including functional assessments, and their uses in service planning
  • Treatment modalities and intervention techniques, such as behavior management and crisis intervention
  • The service planning process and major components of a service plan
Work Schedule

The work schedule is flexible to meet the needs of the person receiving services. This position requires staff to be available for crisis response 24 hours, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.
