Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Production Specialist to join our team at Magnet Ltd. in a 3rd shift role. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating various machinery, performing mechanical tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Mills, Lathes, and Surface Grinders: Safely operate and maintain various machinery to produce custom components.
  • Mechanical Abilities: Perform mechanical tasks, including building new equipment, and troubleshoot and repair production equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify and resolve issues with production equipment, replacing parts as required in a timely manner.
  • Industrial Equipment Repair and Wiring Control Logic: Possess experience in industrial equipment repair and wiring control logic to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Building Maintenance and Upkeep: Perform building maintenance and upkeep tasks as required, including preventative maintenance following established procedures.
  • Safety and Housekeeping: Adhere to safety policies and maintain good housekeeping in the work area, reporting unsafe acts, conditions, and work-related injuries to the department manager or supervisor immediately.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned with limited supervision, including local pickup and deliveries, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting other maintenance personnel.
Requirements
  • Desire to Succeed: A strong desire to succeed in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain attention to detail and ensure high-quality production processes.
  • Good Attendance: Ability to maintain good attendance and be punctual for shifts.
  • Computer Literacy: Basic computer skills and knowledge of production software.
  • Mechanical Ability: Good mechanical ability, including math and measurement skills, to perform tasks efficiently.
  • Cleaning Duties: Knowledge of cleaning duties and ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Driver's License: Ability to obtain a driver's license with a B endorsement (may be required) and drive a forklift.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with other associates and team members.
  • Hand and Power Tools: Ability to work with hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • PLCs and Program Logic: Knowledge of PLCs and program logic to troubleshoot and repair production equipment.
Work Environment

This role is based in a climate-controlled environment, and the physical demands of the job may require lifting up to 40lbs. Other duties may be assigned as required.
