About the Job

A Medical Reimbursement Specialist is a vital member of our team at Hopedale Medical Complex, responsible for ensuring accurate and timely reimbursement for patient services. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a comprehensive understanding of medical billing and coding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurate Claims Processing: Ensure that all claims are processed accurately and efficiently, with attention to detail and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Coding and Registration: Assign appropriate CPT and ICD-10 codes to inpatient and outpatient services, and ensure that patient data is accurately recorded in administrative systems.
  • Insurance Reimbursement: Work with insurance companies to resolve claims and denials, and ensure timely receipt of payment.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, responding to inquiries and resolving concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Stay up-to-date on changing regulations and guidelines, and ensure that all billing and coding practices are compliant with industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in medical billing and coding, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: CPT and ICD-10 coding certifications preferred.
