Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Virtual Monitor Technician to join our team in Salem, Massachusetts.
About the RoleThe Virtual Monitor Technician will provide continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients identified as a risk to themselves or others using the appropriate virtual monitoring workflow and preventative measures.
The ideal candidate will possess basic computer operation skills, be capable of monitoring multiple patients at one time, and remain alert while on duty. Effective communication skills to patients and staff are essential.
Responsibilities- Monitor patients identified as a risk to themselves or others using virtual monitoring workflow and preventative measures.
- Use verbal redirection, communication with patient care staff, alarms, and other techniques to safely redirect patients from engaging in at-risk behaviors.
- Serve as a patient observer at the bedside as needed.
- High School Diploma/G.E.D.
- Prior healthcare experience preferred.
