Medical Registrar

Vaco is seeking a highly skilled Medical Registrar to join our team. As a Medical Registrar, you will be responsible for collecting and entering patient demographic and insurance information accurately into electronic health records (EHR) or hospital information systems (HIS) during the registration process.

• Patient Registration: Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement. Maintain detailed records of patient interactions, admissions, and discharges.
• Verification and Documentation: Coordinate patient appointments, procedures, and admissions, ensuring scheduling meets patient and healthcare provider preferences while optimizing resource utilization.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by answering patient inquiries, addressing concerns, and facilitating communication between patients, healthcare providers, and other hospital departments.

• Previous Experience: Previous experience in healthcare administration or patient registration is preferred.
• Medical Terminology: Familiarity with medical terminology, insurance verification processes, and healthcare regulations related to patient privacy (HIPAA) is beneficial.
• Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritize workload, and provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare providers.
