Job Summary
The Commonwealth of Virginia's Food Service Department is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Food Service Aide. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest quality of food and dining experience for our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine food service tasks, including bussing dishware, operating the dish machine, and simple food preparation.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Work collaboratively with the therapeutic diets team to ensure accurate and efficient food preparation and delivery.
- Maintain a clean and safe dining environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering supplies, and maintaining accurate records.
Requirements
- Ability to work a rotating schedule, including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, Monday through Sunday.
- Previous experience in the food service industry, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
