MRI Technologist

Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Technologists play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services at Emory University Hospital - Midtown. As an MRI Technologist, you will operate MRI equipment to produce scans for diagnostic exams, provide quality patient care, and communicate effectively with patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality scans for diagnostic exams
Provide quality patient care to patients undergoing MRI scans
Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding procedures and results
Adhere to all safety requirements for magnetic safety
Process required paperwork and maintain accurate records
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association

Patient care/handling injuries
Radiation
Shift work
Travel may be required
Physical Requirements
Lifting 50 lbs max
Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs
Occasional to frequent standing & walking
Occasional sitting
Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing)
