Job Summary

The Registered Nurse II will work under the direction of the Nursing Supervisor to provide direct patient care, serve as a lead worker, and assist physicians with rounds. You will review medical records to ensure that physician orders are posted, medication and member care treatment and observations are charted. Additionally, you will verify the number and classification of staff available to assign/reassign.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a graduation from an approved nursing education program resulting in an associate degree or diploma in nursing and two (2) years of progressively responsible professional nursing experience; OR a bachelor's degree in nursing and one (1) year of professional nursing experience; OR a master's degree in nursing. You must also be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Illinois.

Working Conditions

This position is considered heavy work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR d)). Heavy work involves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be required to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime.

Work Hours and Location

The work hours for this position are 7 positions from 6:45AM-7:15PM and 1 position from 2:45AM-3:15PM. The work location is 1707 N 12th St, Quincy, Illinois, 62301. The day shift work site is 2 positions at Markword One, 1 position at Markword Two, 2 positions at Fifer, and 2 positions at Hammond Hall. The day float pool work site is as assigned.
