Dean of RGC

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced academic leader to serve as the Dean of the College of Business at Sul Ross State University. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the Department of Business Administration, expanding and revising programs and curricula, and administering and implementing university policies and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the operation of the Department of Business Administration
• Expand and revise programs and curricula in collaboration with the department chair, faculty, and provost
• Administer and implement university policies and regulations
• Participate in the recruitment of faculty and staff for the business department
• Recommend appointment, salary increments, promotion, tenure, and termination of faculty
• Participate in the coordination and supervision of graduate programs

Working Conditions:

The Dean will work an eight-hour day, forty hours per week, with some early or late hours depending on workload. The Dean will also be responsible for teaching one course each long semester and attending various university, community, and school activities.
