Position Summary
We are in search of a Construction Operations Manager to oversee projects within our Commercial and Institutional Projects Division. This role is designed for full-time engagement, offering competitive benefits in a setting that promotes ongoing learning and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight
Direct project teams to ensure construction aligns with design specifications, budget constraints, and timelines.
Establish and nurture productive relationships with Owners, Architects, and Local Authorities.
Supervise and expedite the delivery of materials relevant to each trade.
Promote jobsite safety through collaboration with the Superintendent.
Assist in maintaining accurate as-built (record) drawings for project close-out.
Ensure timely completion of punch lists and project close-out documentation.
Pre-construction Activities
Collaborate with Estimators to clarify subcontractor bids as necessary.
Contribute to the development of project strategies, including general conditions and scheduling.
Engage in value engineering to identify cost-saving opportunities.
Analyze working drawings and specifications thoroughly.
Review subcontractor scopes for any omissions or discrepancies.
Subcontractor Management
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all subcontractors assigned to your projects.
Facilitate project subcontractor coordination meetings.
Comprehend the full scope and details of each subcontract.
Resolve field issues in collaboration with subcontractors and building officials.
Scheduling
Create and update the project schedule as needed.
Continuously monitor the overall project timeline.
Align the master schedule with the Superintendent's short-term schedule.
Cost and Quality Management
Track labor and material costs in the field to maximize profitability.
Prepare change orders promptly for Owner approval.
Assist the Superintendent in monitoring the quality of materials and workmanship.
Complete financial reports accurately and in a timely manner.
