Mailroom Coordinator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Mailroom Messenger to join our team at Cooperman Barnabas Medical Ctr. As a Mailroom Messenger, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mailroom services, maintaining confidentiality and security, and providing exceptional support to our staff and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail efficiently, adhering to strict postal guidelines.
- Process and forward patient mail to the Volunteer Department in a timely and secure manner.
- Report any suspicious packages or mail to Security, ensuring the safety and security of our patients and staff.
- Maintain organized mail processing areas, ensuring a clutter-free and efficient workspace.
- Monitor and restock supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are available to support mailroom operations.
- Manage postage permit logs, ensuring compliance with postal regulations and company policies.
- Ensure proper use of company postage, minimizing waste and optimizing mailroom efficiency.
- Process outgoing mail accurately, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing errors.
- Identify and return mail addressed to ex-employees, maintaining confidentiality and security.
- Operate mail machines safely and efficiently, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth mailroom operations.
- Act as backup for the ID office as needed, providing exceptional support to our staff and patients.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Completion of orientation programs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Postal or Mailroom services
Working Schedule:
- Varying shift days
- Day shifts
- Per-Diem basis
