About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Editorial Lead to join our team at Directive Consulting. As a key member of our content marketing department, you'll be responsible for shaping the narrative of our brand and ensuring that all content produced meets the highest standards of quality and consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • To mentor and lead a team of writers to produce high-quality content that aligns with our brand's tone and voice.
  • To review and edit content from contributors to ensure it meets our editorial standards.
  • To maintain, implement, and update our content best practices to ensure consistency across all content produced.
  • To demand quality and enforce our rigorous editorial standards.
  • To be responsible for editing multiple pieces of content daily, from short-turnaround pieces to longer-term thought-leadership pieces.
  • To support multiple stakeholders on the product marketing teams to publish relevant content.
  • To support curation, planning, and editing of special content packages.
  • To contribute editing support across multiple formats.
  • To shape our content with great perspectives and sharp angles.
  • To organize, schedule, and facilitate editorial meetings with stakeholders/clients and strategists.

What You'll Need

  • 5+ years of editorial leadership experience and experience managing a team of freelance writers.
  • Sharp editing skills and the ability to make every piece of content great.
  • Deeply organized, but ready to blow up their plans to meet the chaos of quick client turnaround needs and deadlines.
  • Passionate about B2B tech/SaaS industry, specifically cybersecurity, fintech, etc., with experience in these spaces.
  • Able to move fast while still delivering great work and upholding our editorial rigor.
  • Excited to work with freelancers and in-house workers alike to bring in new voices.
  • Extremely collaborative and able to work with writers with varying levels of expertise, strategy team members, and client POCs.
