Funeral Services Coordinator

As a Funeral Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to our funeral operations team. This will include answering phones, responding to emails, and preparing documents related to services and cremations. You will also be responsible for ensuring that our funeral home is well-stocked with supplies and that our vehicles are clean and well-maintained.
The ideal candidate will have previous customer service experience and be proficient in Microsoft Office. You will also be required to have a valid state driver's license and a clean driving record.
We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
**Job Responsibilities**
- Prepare for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos, and other personal keepsakes or mementos of client families.
- Prepare documents related to services, cremations, maintenance, as directed by management.
- Assist with respectful preparation of remains of deceased, including dressing and lifting deceased, or operation of crematory, as permitted by law and in keeping with company regulations.
- Perform office duties such as answering phones and operating fax machine, computer, multiline phone system, debit card machine, typewriter, postage meter, and scale.
- Run errands such as for floral delivery, picking up of supplies, documents, etc.
- Serve as an usher and may park cars or perform any transportation requirements.
- Drive Funeral Home vehicles for services and picking up families.
- Ensure refreshments are available (where allowed by law).
- Assist with visitations, memorial, and funeral services which may include visitation and chapel set up, dressing and casketing remains, delivering family items and flowers.
- Prepare documents related to services, cremations, maintenance, etc.
**Minimum Requirements**
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
- Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.

- High level of compassion and integrity.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.
