Job Summary

The Detroit Medical Center Shared Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Anesthesia Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our anesthesia department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive anesthetic care plans for pediatric patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Administer anesthetics and adjunctive medications to render patients insensible to pain, while monitoring their condition and taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
  • Conduct preoperative assessments, anesthetic management, and post-anesthesia care for pediatric patients.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical policies and procedures.
  • Provide education and training to students, residents, and other healthcare professionals on pediatric anesthesia care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in pediatric anesthesia and incorporate evidence-based practices into your care.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and anesthesia.
  • National CRNA certification and/or re-certification.
  • Michigan license to practice as a registered nurse.
  • Michigan Specialty Certification in Anesthesia.
  • Current member of American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Masters degree in anesthesia or other related area, preferred.
