Job Summary:
The Chief Nursing Officer at Mount Sinai Hospital is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and implementation of clinical programs to ensure high-quality patient care. With a strong focus on leadership, this role demands experience in budget planning, resource management, and collaboration with senior nursing leaders.

About the Position:
This position requires a Master's degree in nursing or a health-related specialty, with a minimum of 7 years' experience in clinical and administrative roles. A professional board certification in leadership and/or clinical specialty is strongly preferred. The successful candidate will be licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in New York State.

Responsibilities:
The Chief Nursing Officer will oversee 5 critical care units and teams, managing approximately 250 FTEs. Key responsibilities include leading nursing practice using Relationship-Centered Care, overseeing administrative duties, and demonstrating proficiency in Purposeful Hourly Rounding (PHR). The role also involves ensuring integration of PHR into clinical activities, synthesizing feedback to develop action plans, and following up on patient concerns.
