Job Summary

Hart Medical Equipment is seeking a skilled Medical Equipment Delivery Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for delivering, setting up, and providing instruction on the proper use and care of medical equipment to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and set up medical equipment at patient homes, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Provide clear instructions and training to patients on the proper use and care of equipment.
  • Assist patients in solving problems related to equipment use and maintenance.
  • Load and unload equipment onto delivery vehicles, verifying all equipment is properly secured.
  • Complete daily logs and update driver management systems as needed.
  • Respond to emergency calls and new patient orders during regular business hours and on-call rotations.
  • Collaborate with dispatch to ensure efficient delivery routes and communicate any changes or issues.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous DME experience preferred.
  • Valid Chauffer's license and ability to pass applicable background checks.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills, with ability to remain professional in stressful situations.
  • Working knowledge of smart phones and ability to navigate delivery routes efficiently.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly walk, talk, and hear; sit for periods in vehicle; stand and lift objects weighing up to 170 lbs.
  • Push or pull objects weighing up to 100 lbs. through various surfaces using dollies or carts.
  • Specific vision abilities required, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
