Manufacturing Equipment Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Equipment Specialist to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing advanced manufacturing machinery and equipment at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Equipment Installation: Install, set up, and commission manufacturing machinery and equipment according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Maintenance and Repairs: Perform routine maintenance, diagnose issues, and carry out repairs on complex machinery to minimize downtime. Recommend and implement preventive measures to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
- Technical Support: Provide on-site and remote technical assistance to resolve operational issues and optimize machine functionality. Document all service activities and share insights with the engineering team for continuous improvement.
- Customer Training: Train clients' personnel on the proper use and maintenance of equipment. Develop user-friendly documentation and guidelines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as design, engineering, and sales to address customer feedback and technical challenges. Assist in testing and validating equipment modifications or upgrades.
- Travel: Regularly travel to customer sites within assigned regions, with occasional overnight stays as required.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety standards, regulations, and company policies during field operations. Ensure compliance with customer-specific protocols and industry guidelines.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. Equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Experience: 2-5 years of hands-on experience servicing manufacturing machinery, industrial automation, or related equipment.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics. Hands-on experience with PLCs, CNCs, and/or industrial robotics is highly desirable.
- Other Requirements: Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively. Ability to work independently and under pressure.
