We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as an Eye Care Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including:
- Lensometry, refractometry, baseline external exams, visual field tests, automated keratometry, tonometry, and ancillary testing
- Preparing and updating patient records, preparing requisitions for patient testing, and assisting in reviewing charts and schedules for patients
- Calibrating, cleaning, and maintaining ophthalmic equipment and instruments for the exam and treatment rooms
- Triage patient phone calls, assist patients into and out of examining rooms, and participate in clinical procedures
- Performing contact lens insertion and removal and processing contact orders and returns
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, a strong command of the English language, and a demonstrated history of excellent attendance at previous places of employment. Previous experience in a medical or patient care setting is not required, but top candidates will be selected based on their comprehensive skills, work ethic, and education.
In terms of compensation, we offer a competitive salary of $40,000 per year, which is equivalent to approximately $19.23 per hour. This figure is based on national averages and may vary depending on location and other factors. We also offer flexible hours during the week and opportunities for training on weekends, making it an ideal position for those who value work-life balance.
