Upholstery Craftsman

We are seeking an experienced Upholstery Fabricator to join our team in Little Rock, Arkansas. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, developing, building, sewing, and covering aircraft soft goods.

• Perform high-quality sewing and upholstery operations within budget.
• Disassemble and reassemble various models of vendor passenger seats.
• Perform maintenance tasks such as glue application, adhesive bonding, hardware installation, and rivet installation.
• Style various foams to meet specifications and customer requirements.
• Layout, match, cut, and sew routine and non-routine sewing operations, including exotic fabrics.
• Develop patterns from prints, sketches, models, and verbal instructions.
• Inspect, select, and work with fabrics, leathers, foams, and other materials.
• Fabricate and upholster all soft goods, including aircraft seats, divans, service ledges, side walls, headliners, and window panels.
• Set up and operate equipment such as routers, sanders, sewing machines, etc.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of aircraft upholstery experience.
• Able to set up and operate standard equipment related to upholstery.
• Able to work from documentation such as 3D models, blueprints, drawings, F-standards, preparation packages, etc.
• Must not be allergic to chemicals, solvents, paints, adhesives, natural or man-made materials, fabrics, or feathers.
• Able to distinguish colors and align intricate or elaborate designs in fabrics.
• Able to lift and transport up to 40 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Visual capacity and muscular dexterity to work on fine detail, high-cost products with a minimum of rework.
• Able to wear protective equipment for extended periods of time.
• Able to stock and remove materials from bins above storage level with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Able to climb in and out of aircraft and perform work in tight or confined places and unusual positions.
