We are seeking a skilled Medical Imaging Nurse to join our team at Banner Health. As a Medical Imaging Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support in the interventional radiology department.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice.
- Work closely with the IR team to perform procedures, including outpatients, inpatients, and emergency patients.
- Provide clinical nursing support for patients undergoing IR procedures, including prepping and recovering for radiologic procedures.
- Transport, assist, and monitor patients in MRI.
- Assist in on-call procedures in IR and call inpatients to verify NPO status, blood thinners, and pertinent labs.
- Build outpatient folders and maintain throughput of inpatient procedures.
- Perform chart audits, MI tool audits, and stock supplies in procedural areas.
- Previous critical care experience required (ED or ICU), previous IR or procedural-based experience preferred.
- PACU & Transport experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment on a team of nurses, techs, and physicians.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work agile and flexible with day-to-day activities.
This position will be based at Banner Del Webb Medical Center and Banner Boswell Medical Center, both of which are dedicated to a high-tech, high-touch philosophy of care.
