Merchandise Planner Job Description

Roses Discount Stores is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Merchandise Planner to join our team. As a key member of our Buying team, you will be responsible for developing strategic merchandise plans that drive sales and gross margin growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement merchandise plans that achieve sales and gross margin objectives
  • Collaborate with Merchandise Managers, Buyers, and Merchandise Analysts to integrate a holistic approach to merchandise planning
  • Analyze performance trends and lost sales opportunities to optimize merchandise assortment
  • Provide business insights and recommendations to drive business growth and profitability
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in merchandise planning in a retail environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
