Position Title: Maintenance Apprentice

Location: Horsham, PA

Compensation: $23.94 per hour

Work Schedule: 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule

Apprenticeship Duration: Typically 4 years, with annual pay increases based on performance and competency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support food safety guidelines in all maintenance activities.
  • Install, maintain, and troubleshoot various machinery and tools, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Utilize shop equipment proficiently for maintenance tasks.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to manufacture parts with precise tolerances.
  • Maintain accurate logs of tools and equipment used.
  • Adjust and grind tools to optimize machining processes.
  • Set up and operate machine tools, including lathes and grinders.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on assigned machinery.
  • Keep the work area organized and clean.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding maintenance issues.
  • Perform housekeeping duties and maintain a safe workspace.
  • Engage in welding and heat treatment tasks as required.
  • Monitor supply levels and notify management of any shortages.
  • Assist with plant facilities maintenance as needed.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs) relevant to the role.
  • Foster positive working relationships within the team and across departments.
  • Work flexible hours, including overtime and on-call shifts as directed.
  • Ensure consistent attendance and punctuality in accordance with the assigned schedule.
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations and environmental management practices.
  • Participate in on-the-job training and classroom instruction.

Qualifications:

  • Interest in pursuing an Associates Degree or Certification in Mechatronics or a related field.
  • Experience with hand tools is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 during educational programs.
