Bridge Carpenter Foreman Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bridge Carpenter Foreman to join our team at The Walsh Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of a crew of 3-15 construction employees daily, overseeing carpentry operations in assigned areas, and ensuring the successful completion of bridge construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned craft workers, communicating and coordinating schedules with other trades.
  • Schedule and coordinate activities of assigned craft workers, ensuring timely completion of tasks and projects.
  • Read and interpret construction plans, specifications, and blueprints to determine construction requirements and plan procedures.
  • Locate, measure, and mark site locations or placement of structures or equipment, using measuring and marking equipment.
  • Record information such as personnel, production, or operational data on specified forms or reports.
  • Provide assistance to workers engaged in construction or extraction activities, using hand tools or other equipment.
  • Examine and inspect work progress, equipment, and construction sites to verify safety and ensure that specifications are met.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of construction foreman experience preferred.
  • 5-8 years of verifiable construction experience required.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with experience managing crews and subcontractors preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with crew members, project management, subcontractors, and vendors.
  • Ability to effectively read and understand work plans.
  • Requires ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions.
