Certified Health Care Assistant Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Health Care Assistant Professional to join our team at Owensboro Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to ensure the highest quality of service.
About the Role:This is a full-time position that requires working under the supervision of a nurse. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the care team to provide direct patient care and support services. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Greeting and orienting new patients to the hospital environment
- Orienting patients to room and unit routines
- Fostering patient engagement by involving patients and their families in handoffs
- Creating a positive patient experience by focusing on what matters most to each patient
- Providing ongoing communication through regular updates to the patient-room care board
- Promoting a Culture of Safety by integrating Error Prevention tools into daily routines
- Contributes to the assessment of patients by collecting data for review by a nurse
- Documents patient progress toward goals and ensures accurate, complete, specific, and timely documentation
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; higher education preferred
- No prior experience necessary; SRNA certification in the state of Kentucky required upon hire
- BLS certification as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider within 90 days of employment

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $40,000 to $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
