Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Middle Grades Mathematics Educator to join our team at Elbert County School District. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high-quality education to middle school students in mathematics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive mathematics curriculum that aligns with state and local standards.
  • Instructional Strategies: Utilize research-based instructional strategies to engage students in active learning and facilitate the acquisition of key knowledge and skills.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Systematically choose and implement diagnostic, formative, and summative assessment strategies to measure student progress and inform instructional content and delivery methods.
  • Classroom Environment: Create a well-managed, safe, and orderly environment that is conducive to learning and encourages respect for all students.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to enhance student learning and promote a positive school culture.
Requirements
  • Valid Certification: Possess a valid Georgia professional certification in the assigned teaching field, Math (6-12), preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate knowledge of child development, the prescribed curriculum, current educational research, and technology integration.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Possess strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with colleagues, administrators, and other stakeholders.
