Italian Language Expert - Linguist Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Italian language expert to join our team as a linguist. The successful candidate will have native or near-native fluency in Italian and a strong background in linguistics, with expertise in syntax, semantics, pragmatics, and sociolinguistics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with data operations teams to manage data collection, data synthesis, and data annotation tasks
• Develop and maintain annotation systems and guidelines
• Evaluate and curate data sets for machine learning models
• Assess model and data quality
• Collaborate with other linguists to develop complex and consistent linguistic analyses

Requirements:

• Master's degree in linguistics or a related field
• Native or near-native fluency in Italian
• Strong knowledge of Italian and Italian cultural norms
• Experience working with speech and text data in multiple languages
• Familiarity with large language models and their applications
• Excellent communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• PhD in linguistics or a related field
• Experience with database queries and data analysis processes
• Intermediate or above skills in Python
• Experience with machine learning frameworks and NLP libraries
