Quality Assurance Specialist

Power Stop LLC is seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of all products through measurement, comparison with OEM samples, and reading blueprints.
Key Responsibilities- Perform incoming receiving inspection and special test procedures as needed
- Measure parts to ensure that they are within specifications
- Monitor warranty returns, track and investigate common returns
- Track warranty claims, investigate anomalies, and report results weekly
- Perform random quality and safety audits on the floor in all departments
- Maintain the DMR Log, QA list, etc.
- Maintain quality procedures and perform audits to verify that they are being followed, reporting results weekly
- Notify Product Manager and others of DMRs and quality issues
- In the event of a DMR, ensure the quarantine procedure is executed promptly and completely to prevent defective product from being shipped out
- Follow-up with Purchasing Department on permanent corrective actions
- Maintain QC Quarantine and monitor status with the intent of timely disposition
- Ensure that other employees are aware of proper quality inspection activities
- Issue deviation requests for management approval
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to lift 30lbs or more
- Knowledge of metrology and tolerancing
- Ability to read blueprints
- Experience with employee quality training and behavior modification
- Experience with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Knowledge of 8D problem-solving and PPAP
- Moderate knowledge of statistics and sampling methods
- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage change and interface with management
- Self-directed and acts as a change agent to drive continuous improvement
- Ability to handle and mitigate potential conflicts between Quality and Operations departments
