Responsibilities- Prepare and dispense medications to patients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Provide pharmacological information to healthcare teams, including physicians and nurses, to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor patient drug therapies, identifying potential issues and making recommendations for improvement.
- Coordinate activities with pharmacist manager, setting priorities and directing the work of subordinate employees.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports, as needed.
- Consult with staff physicians on the use, characteristics, and effects of medications.
- Maintain custody and control of narcotics, adhering to state and federal regulations.
- Recognize physical, chemical, and therapeutic incompatibilities, ensuring patient safety.
- Thoroughly understand pharmacy, drug, narcotic, and related laws of the state of NC.
- BS Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
- Appropriate licensure in North Carolina.
