Responsibilities include providing informal and formal staff development learning activities related to breastfeeding management, serving as an expert consultant to maternal-child staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals in the management of patients with complex breastfeeding problems, and participating in program development activities.
Requirements include Basic Cardiac Life Support, Neonate Resuscitation within 3 months of hire, Intl Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) Required within two years of hire, Associate Degree or Bachelors Degree in Nursing Preferred, Current RN License in the State of Texas or compact license, and minimum of two years' experience in maternal-child health nursing in an acute care setting.
