The Premium Reconciliation Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and correctness of insurance premiums. This role involves identifying discrepancies, conducting research, and collaborating with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues.
Key Responsibilities- Reconcile insurance premiums by verifying accuracy and completeness.
- Identify, research, and resolve premium discrepancies by collaborating with employees across various departments and external partners, including insurance carriers.
- Work with internal teams to gather necessary information and documentation for resolving premium-related issues.
- Communicate with external partners, including insurance carriers and brokers, to verify premium rates and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure that any identified discrepancies are corrected promptly and accurately.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all reconciliation activities, including findings and resolutions.
- Assist with improving internal processes related to premium reconciliation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent of 4 years of related experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with internal teams and external partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Experience in internal audits, accounting, or premium reconciliation is preferred.
