Job Summary

College of DuPage is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach Legal Studies courses. As an adjunct faculty member, you will be responsible for course planning and instruction in a classroom, lab, or clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in legal research and writing, as well as experience working with paralegals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Legal Studies courses in a variety of delivery modes, including face-to-face, online, hybrid, and blended formats.
  • Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
  • Submit required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Juris Doctor degree required.
  • Experience in legal research and writing required.
  • Must have experience working with paralegals.
  • Previous teaching experience and experience facilitating group discussions preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to teach remotely with technology.
  • Experience in online or virtual teaching.
  • Access to personal technology, including a home computer with internet access.

Adjunct faculty members at College of DuPage are paid by stipends for course assignments. A pre-employment background check is required.
