Position Overview
Summary
In this role, you will work under close supervision to perform a variety of mechanical assembly tasks, both repetitive and non-repetitive, to produce high-quality products. You will be responsible for making minor adjustments to assemblies as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Essential duties include, but are not limited to:
- Adhering to production specifications, assembly samples, and verbal instructions while under supervision. Applying established workmanship standards to all mechanical assembly tasks.
- Interpreting schematics, drawings, and work instructions to understand the necessary components and assembly steps.
- Performing accurate mathematical calculations and utilizing precision measuring tools as required.
- Employing a variety of hand and power tools for skilled assembly work and conducting basic inspections and tests.
- Operating machinery, such as arbor presses or riveting machines, to execute fastening operations on the assembly line.
- Rotating through various workstations as production demands change, adapting to different tasks as needed.
- Handling assembled components with manual dexterity and using simple hand tools effectively.
- Aligning and positioning parts accurately in jigs or fixtures.
- Joining components through methods such as crimping, soldering, or welding.
- Executing additional assembly tasks, including cleaning, bonding, and color coding parts.
- Making adjustments to components to meet specified electrical or dimensional standards.
- Reworking units that do not pass inspection or testing.
- Following safety protocols when handling hazardous materials to ensure compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Completing quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
- Documenting production information accurately on logs and reports.
This position does not involve supervisory responsibilities.

Education and Experience
A high school diploma is required, along with some vocational or technical training; 0-2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
Language Proficiency
Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence.
Mathematical Proficiency
Capability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
Reasoning Skills
Ability to follow instructions in various formats.
Computer Skills
Familiarity with data entry and basic computer applications is necessary.
Additional Skills
- Basic understanding of ISO and/or AS9100 standards.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
