Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver independent professional counseling to clients with diverse disabilities, guiding them in achieving their employment goals.
  • Assess medical, psychological, and vocational data to establish eligibility for services.
  • Develop and implement Individual Plans for Employment in collaboration with clients, ensuring their active participation.
  • Provide technical assistance to both internal and external stakeholders regarding vocational rehabilitation matters.
  • Conduct comprehensive interviews to evaluate rehabilitation strategies and determine service feasibility.
  • Coordinate and negotiate services that lead to successful employment outcomes for clients.
  • Engage with employers to create job placement opportunities and serve as a liaison to facilitate employment for individuals with disabilities.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with a minimum of two years of experience working directly with individuals with disabilities. A Master’s degree may substitute for some experience requirements.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • In-depth understanding of vocational rehabilitation principles and effective counseling techniques.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop tailored vocational rehabilitation programs.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to foster effective working relationships.
