Key Responsibilities- Provide law enforcement services to the community, including patrolling assigned areas, responding to calls for service, and conducting investigations.
- Enforce laws and regulations, issue citations and warnings, and make arrests as necessary.
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and community organizations to achieve public safety goals.
- Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest law enforcement techniques and technologies.
- Be at least 20.5 years of age.
- Hold United States citizenship or have legal permanent residency in the U.S.
- Attain a high school diploma or a certificate of high school equivalency (GED).
- Meet all eligibility standards by the date of participation in the exam process.
- Ability to accurately type at least 35 wpm.
- Valid Washington State Driver's License.
The City of Seattle offers a competitive salary and benefits package, including a $7,500 hiring bonus for entry-level police officers.
