Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Emergency Services to join our team at Effingham Health System. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for creating an environment of patient-focused care, defining standards for quality patient care, and managing and developing work-based teams for assigned shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and quality of care
  • Lead and manage a team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of emergency services
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed

Requirements:

  • Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing program
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in nursing, with experience in healthcare/hospital management and/or training
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions under pressure
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSN degree
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
  • Experience in a Level IV Trauma Center
