Physical Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services to students within an educational setting in Scarborough, ME.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to determine students' motor skills, strength, flexibility, and overall physical abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on assessment findings to address students' physical therapy needs.
- Provide direct physical therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings, utilizing therapeutic exercises, activities, and interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to integrate therapy goals into the educational curriculum and classroom activities.
- Monitor and document students' progress towards achieving therapy goals, adjusting treatment plans as necessary and providing ongoing evaluation of outcomes.
- Educate and involve parents in their child's therapy progress, offering strategies and recommendations for reinforcement at home.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of therapy sessions, progress reports, and communication with stakeholders.
- Stay current with advancements and best practices in physical therapy through professional development activities and training.
- Master's degree (or equivalent) in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- State licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Maine.
- Experience working with school-aged children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
