Position Summary: We are seeking a Senior Maritime Training Instructor to enhance our training initiatives. This role is crucial in delivering expert instruction to U.S. Navy personnel, specifically Surface Warfare Officers and Enlisted Bridge Navigation Watch Standers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive training in Bridge Resource Management (BRM), Special Evolutions Training (SETs), and various other instructional courses.
- Utilize a blend of classroom, computer-based, and simulator training methodologies to ensure effective learning outcomes.
- Demonstrate proficiency in ship handling tactics and techniques applicable to U.S. naval vessels.
- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest instructional practices and maritime regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of three years of instructional experience on current NSST ship handling trainers.
- Must possess a Master Mariner Level I or II certification, with relevant at-sea command experience or U.S. Coast Guard licensure.
- Completion of a recognized Train the Trainer program or equivalent instructional training.
- Strong understanding of NSS subject areas and current maritime training best practices.
- Undergraduate degree is required.
Clearance Requirements: Candidates must hold an active DoD Secret clearance or be eligible to obtain one.
