Position Summary

Training & Development:

Create comprehensive training programs on diversity, equity, and inclusion for County employees, applying principles and best practices for adult learning and group facilitation. Design and deliver training sessions using various methods, including in-person workshops, webinars, and e-learning platforms. Develop educational materials and resources to support ongoing learning and development in DEI initiatives. Consultative Services: Provide expert guidance to County departments on integrating equity into their policies, programs, and services, and advancing DEI within their operations. Assist in formulating and executing departmental equity action plans aligned with the Loudoun Equity Action Plan (LEAP). Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain strong relationships with County leadership, employee groups, community partners, and other stakeholders to support equity initiatives. Facilitate workshops, meetings, and discussions to enhance understanding and collaboration on DEI matters. Research & Analysis: Conduct research on best practices in DEI to inform County policies and practices. Design surveys and other assessment tools to collect DEI-related quantitative and qualitative data. Analyze data to identify disparities and monitor progress toward DEI objectives. Program Support: Coordinate, oversee, and track DEI-related projects, ensuring alignment with County goals and objectives. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of DEI initiatives, providing recommendations for improvement as necessary. The hiring salary will be based on experience.

Minimum Qualifications

Required Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field (such as social sciences, human resources, or education); three (3) years of relevant experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated commitment to advancing DEI initiatives. Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs. Strong consultation and project management abilities. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient business writing skills. Ability to analyze complex information and present it clearly and concisely.
