About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Henry Community Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Patient Care: Under the direction of our Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), you will reinforce educational needs and provide support to patients with varying needs.
  • Support Patient Nutrition: Assist with dietary trays and feed patients as needed, ensuring their nutritional needs are met.
  • Facilitate Patient Mobility: Turn, reposition, and assist patients with ambulation as ordered, using proper body mechanics to prevent injury.
  • Record Patient Activities: Maintain accurate records of daily patient activities and document information as necessary.
  • Provide Post-Mortem Care: Perform post-mortem care on patients, adhering to established nursing procedures.
  • Monitor Patient Vital Signs: Take and record vital signs accurately, ensuring timely intervention when necessary.
  • Communicate Effectively: Report and/or record any changes observed in patient condition or behavior, maintaining open communication with the healthcare team.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of a certified nursing assistant program or previous experience.
  • Experience: Three to twelve months as a nursing assistant is preferred.
  • Skills: Ability to read and follow specific nursing procedures, write legibly, use good English grammar, spell accurately, and communicate effectively with various individuals.
