About the Role

The Salvation Army USA Central Territory is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as an After School Program Aide. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing a safe and engaging environment for school-age children, promoting their physical, emotional, and social development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the program director in preparing daily activities and materials.
  • Supervise children during meal periods and ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Lead and participate in various program activities, including recreation, crafts, and field trips.
  • Enforce facility policies and follow progressive disciplinary procedures when necessary.
  • Document and report accidents using the EER process.
  • Perform end-of-day cleaning and organization tasks.
  • Drive program participants to and from activities, as required.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience working with school-age children.
  • Ability to be flexible and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters.
