Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of food preparation areas, including equipment and surfaces, to uphold safe and sanitary food-handling standards.
  • Monitor the freshness of food and ingredients by assessing quality, managing inventory, and rotating stock appropriately.
  • Prepare ingredients for cooking (e.g., chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or crafting sauces).
  • Ensure proper food storage and cooking temperatures by adjusting the settings of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.
  • Season and cook dishes according to established recipes or personal expertise.
  • Address guest feedback with promptness and professionalism.
  • Set up and stock workstations with all necessary supplies.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to prepare menu items.
  • Follow and report on chef directives.
  • Clean workstations and manage leftover food responsibly.
  • Accurately manage inventory levels.
  • Ensure that food is prepared simultaneously, adhering to high-quality standards and timeliness.
  • Comply with nutritional and sanitation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor with colleagues and customers.
Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in a culinary role.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to lift over 30 lbs.
  • Capacity to stand for extended periods (8+ hours).
  • Dependability.
