Job Overview

A reputable bank in the industry, City National Bank & Trust is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Collection Specialist to join their team.

Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough reviews of past due accounts to identify potential payment arrangements.
  • Document all necessary information on accounts, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Utilize skip tracing and other inquiries to locate customer information, facilitating effective communication and resolution.
  • Process and post payments in a timely manner, maintaining accurate records and adhering to bank procedures.
  • Establish viable payment plans with customers, promoting financial responsibility and reconciliation.
  • Compose and send collection letters, clearly outlining account details and expected actions.
  • Prepare and file small claims information, representing the bank in court proceedings when necessary.
  • Foster open lines of communication with customers, providing updates and support throughout the collection process.
Requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office products, with ability to learn and adapt to new software.
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times, upholding the bank's standards and regulations.
  • Work independently, making informed decisions that align with bank policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all aspects of the job.
  • Possess strong professional communication skills, effectively interacting with colleagues, management, and customers.
  • Ability to work overtime as required, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
Education and Experience
  • High School diploma or equivalent, supplemented by relevant customer service experience.
  • Previous collections experience is highly desirable, with a valid driver's license and meeting CNB driving policy requirements.
