About the Role:
DispatchHealth Management is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technician to join our clinical team. As a Medical Technician, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in the comfort of their own homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work under the supervision of licensed Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants to provide patient care and support.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitoring, including vital signs.
- Perform IV starts and blood draws, as permitted by state law.
- Apply splints and provide wound care.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain point-of-care laboratory equipment.
- Perform EKGs and assist with documentation.
- Supply and stock medical equipment and supplies.
Requirements:
- Medical Technician with IV Certification.
- Basic Certification with Ohio, EMT License (hiring credential only).
- Candidates with a bachelor's degree in a core science or lab science and a minimum of 2 years' experience in chemistry and hematology, especially with experience using ani-STAT device, are encouraged to apply.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- BLS, American Heart Association.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to walk up and down several flights of stairs easily.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
