Key Responsibilities:
- Execute tasks as detailed in repair orders.
- Confirm warranty status on all repair orders, if applicable.
- Conduct all work efficiently and accurately, adhering to dealership and factory standards.
- Diagnose and rectify vehicle issues.
- Collaborate with the parts department to procure necessary components.
- Tag and save warranty parts.
- Maintain regular communication with the shop foreman and suggest adjustments to repair orders as needed.
- Summarize repairs and technician narratives accurately.
- Record precise time punches.
- Conduct road tests for quality assurance as required.
- Stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
- Ensure cleanliness of customer vehicles.
- Keep work areas organized and tidy.
- Handle dealership-owned tools with care.
- Comply with regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal.
- Adapt to changes in shifts, emergencies, workload, or technology advancements.
- Be prepared to work in the shop as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
- Full range of motion is required, including handling, lifting, and manual dexterity.
- Position necessitates prolonged standing, balancing, bending, or stooping.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 80 pounds occasionally.
- Corrected vision and hearing within normal ranges are required.
- Must be capable of operating various machinery, from simple to heavy-duty.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing passenger vehicles.
- Self-motivated individual capable of working independently.
- Familiarity with gas and diesel truck repair and maintenance, including engine, transmission, drivability, electrical diagnostics, suspension, and brake systems.
- Possession of a complete set of hand tools with a rollaway toolbox.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail is essential.
- Ability to pass a general abilities assessment, background check, physical, and drug screening.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous dealership experience.
- Experience with Ford IDS & FDRS software applications.
- Ability to diagnose and repair Ford and Isuzu vehicles.
- Familiarity with warranty documentation and processes.
Job Details:
- Type: Hourly (Transition to Flat-Rate)
