Job Title: Formulation Technician I

Adecco is currently assisting an American supplier of scientific instrumentation, reagents, and consumables, and software services in recruiting for a Formulation Technician I in Cincinnati, OH.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Formulation Technician I to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the staging and compounding of raw materials, milling, blending, aseptic liquid filling, process control monitoring, and documentation of procedures for manufacturing dehydrated culture media and liquid media in accordance with production schedules and GMP procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the staging and compounding of raw materials within weight tolerances, milling, blending, aseptic liquid filling, process control monitoring, and documentation of procedures.
  • Completes all required documentation neatly, accurately, and in accordance with GMP.
  • Performs cleaning, inspection, calibration, and assists in the maintenance of equipment. Maintains related logs and records. Performs equipment troubleshooting.
  • Handles raw materials per GMP and Safety requirements.
  • Uses equipment such as pipettors, balances, osmometer, turbid meter, and pH meters.
  • Ensures that tasks are performed in a safe and responsible manner to create an injury-free and incident-free workplace.
  • Required to follow through on assigned responsibilities and able to function under supervision.
  • Responsible for promoting a positive team environment through good communications and team engagement.
  • May be required to work overtime.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Must communicate effectively with written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to follow cGMP and other regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to maintain compliance in all SOP, cGMP, EHS, and other training curriculum as assigned.
  • Operate and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment.
  • 1 year of previous experience in a manufacturing environment within pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food processing industries strongly preferred.
  • Mechanical proficiency and ability to disassemble and reassemble various types of equipment (GMP facility preferred).
  • Prior computer operation and experience in APACS is desirable.
